Enter a child’s details, health needs, consents and All About Me yourself, then add their parent.
Childminders who have all of a child's details to hand and want to enter them in one go. If you'd rather the parent filled them in, use
Quick Addinstead. Needs the Standard plan or a free trial. It takes about ten minutes.
Open the Children tab, tap +, and choose Full Profile. There are four steps.
Enter the child's name, date of birth, gender and address. Tap Add Emergency Contact and add at least one person, with their phone number and relationship to the child.
Add any allergies, medical conditions and dietary needs, and the child's doctor. Allergies are shown to everyone who cares for the child.
Under Authorized for Collection, list everyone who is allowed to pick the child up.
Record the parent's answer to each consent. The list comes from your consent settings.
Add anything else that helps you care for the child, like what they love doing and how they settle.
When you finish, KinderStart asks you to add a parent. Enter their details, and switch on Send Invitation Email? so they can create an account in the parent app. Tap save.
The child's profile opens, with the parent on the Parents tab.
Having emergency contacts, allergies and consents in one place means they're to hand when you need them, and on the record if an inspector asks.
