Open the KinderStart app, choose Childminder, tap Continue, then tap Try Demo Mode.
Open the Children tab. You'll see sample families, such as Emma Johnson and Oliver Brown, set up the way your own children and parents will be.
Open the Tools tab. Everything beyond the daily register lives here: the Daily Diary, Learning Journey, Health & Safety logs, reports, invoices, and Business Settings.
If you're not registered yet, open the tracker tab. It breaks registering as a childminder into phases, starting with Foundations & Legalities, then Paperwork & Policies and Preparing Your Home. Each phase is a checklist of tasks.
Tap a task, for example Write Your Safeguarding Policy, to see what it involves and where to start.
In Demo Mode you can't change a task's status, open a child's full profile, or save anything. When you try, KinderStart asks you to create an account instead.
Choosing software for your setting is a real decision. Demo Mode lets you see exactly how records, tools and the registration tracker fit together before you commit, with no sign-up and no card details.
