Supervision: "Sight and Hearing"

The 2025 framework explicitly states that children must be within sight and hearing of a staff member while eating.

  • No room leaving: You cannot leave the room (even for the toilet) while a child is eating.
  • Preparation: Prepare everything beforehand to maintain direct supervision.
  • No monitors: Video or audio monitors are not sufficient for mealtime supervision.
