See notices, learning moments and diary updates from your childminder, filter the feed, and share a Home Adventure.
Parents using the KinderStart parent app. The feed is the first thing you see when you open it (see
Getting started as a parent). It takes about three minutes.
Your home screen shows everything new from your childminder, newest first:
Pull down on the feed to check for anything new.
Use the chips at the top: All, Notices, Moments and Daily Diary. A number on a chip shows how many new posts you haven't seen yet.
If more than one of your children goes to this childminder, use the child selector above the chips (it says All Children until you pick one).
A Home Adventure is something you've done with your child outside childcare: a trip, a new skill practised at home, anything you'd like your childminder to know about.
It appears on your child's journey with a Home Adventure badge, so it's clear it came from you. You can delete your own Home Adventures later if you change your mind.
The feed replaces a rushed chat at the door with a record you can catch up on whenever suits you. Home Adventures make it two-way: your childminder gets a fuller picture of your child's life, which helps them plan activities around what your child loves.
